Wanderlust, restless spirit, nomad, victim of the travel bug. Whatever you want to call it, John Lovejoy has had an irrepressible urge to go – to go see new places, meet new people, learn new cultures – for as long as he can remember. In 2006, he assembled a team, three plastic cars and plotted a course half way around the world. He called it Trabant Trek and many deemed the mission impossible from the start. The show premiered on Travel Channel in 2010, and since then he’s produced a second series, Wreck Trek, is set to air its first episode in mid-2012. He currently resides in Phnom Penh plotting his third series which aims to take vehicles running on nothing but veggie oil from Los Angeles to Panama City.
